The aim of our preventive work is to affect people's values regarding alcohol and other drugs, in order to reduce the consumption of both alcohol and narcotic drugs. We do that by general information, but also with activities targeted towards certain high-risk groups.

The preventive work is important in many different ways. Both in terms of reducing the human suffering that comes with drug abuse, but there is also a great economic profit for society if you can prevent people from ending up in drug addiction. Simply because it is much more expensive to try to rehabilitate than to prevent drug abuse.

Our preventive goals:
We want to:

  • Change the attitude of parents concerning alcohol
  • Increase the number of people supporting a restrictive alcohol policy
  • Improve the conditions of independent research on alcohol and other drugs
  • Reduce the drug abuse among high risk groups
  • Increase the number of alcohol and drug free places for all age groups
  • Through our work with international aid, raise the awareness regarding alcohol as an obstacle for development

Target groups
Through our preventive work we want to reach parents and other adults who work with young people and children. We also want to reach children and young people directly. In addition, we try to reach vulnerable groups in society.
